Deep Zoom

Explore your writing across a vastly expanded scale. Zoom up to 500% for detailed typographic inspection, or zoom out all the way to 1% to view vast text landscapes from afar. When zooming out past reading scale, text masses seamlessly transition into luminous stardust constellations and minimap textures, while Portals, Notes, and Links shine through as colorful navigation beacons across the dark space.

Point-to-Zoom

Zooming is now fully contextual and anchored to your attention. When zooming with a touchpad pinch or mouse wheel, the canvas effortlessly centers directly on your mouse pointer (or the midpoint of your fingers on touch devices), keeping the area you are pointing at locked in place. When using keyboard shortcuts (Cmd/Ctrl + / -), zooming naturally anchors to your active typing cell.

Vector Engine

Under the hood, the entire visual layer has transitioned to a lightweight Canvas 2D vector engine for smooth, lag-free rendering.

Dedicated Mobile Write Mode

Seamlessly switch between exploring and composing on touch devices using the new Write / Read toggle. In Read mode (default), the canvas can be freely panned and inspected without accidental keyboard popups. In Write mode, typing flows smoothly across cells with zero keyboard flickering or dropped focus.

Redesigned Landing Page

The front page now features native, unconstrained page scrolling, an evolved typographic layout, and a direct Join Grid prompt to create or join spaces instantly from any device.

Spatial Web Addresses (Share Location)

Every coordinate and selection on the canvas now has its own unique, shareable URL. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + L or right-click to copy a direct link to your current cell or selected area.

Origin Navigation & Visual Guides

Click the coordinate display (x: 0 y: 0) in the top header to instantly re-center your view on the origin. Right-click and toggle Origin guides (on/off) to display subtle reference lines along the zero axes for easier orientation.

Connections: Links, Notes & Portals

Open the new Connections panel (Cmd/Ctrl + K) to manage web links, multi-line annotations, and portal networks. Step on a note cell to open its reading card, or a portal cell to jump across the grid.

Advanced Portal Features

Portals can either flow dynamically with text content or be pinned to fixed grid coordinates [x, y], remaining anchored in space as text shifts around them. Turn off portal visualization (grid underline) to mark teleport nodes using your own custom characters or symbols.

Fast Navigation & Selection

Hold Cmd/Ctrl with any Arrow Key to instantly jump to the edges of a line or text block in all four directions. Include Shift to select the text along the way.

Select and Move Text with Mouse

Select text areas easily by dragging your mouse while holding Shift. You can move any selected text block to a new position by dragging it while holding Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows).

Live Mouse Coordinates

See real-time coordinates directly under your cursor in the bottom-left corner. They automatically hide after 5 seconds of mouse inactivity.
